Everything in GoSki
GoSki is a free iPhone and iPad app for skiers and snowboarders. It covers 43 ski resorts: 31 in the U.S. and 12 in Canada, with a trail map of every one.

- Snow reports
- New snow, base depth, season total and surface conditions, with lifts and trails open, for every resort.
- Hourly forecast
- High-quality forecasts from trusted sources, in 6-hour blocks: the next 24 hours free; the full 6-day forecast with GoSki PRO. U.S. forecasts come from NOAA’s National Weather Service; Canadian forecasts from NOAA’s National Blend of Models, with Environment Canada weather alerts.
- Snowfall maps
- See where it snowed over the last 24 hours to 7 days across the U.S., from NOAA’s snowfall analysis, and snow forecast maps for the next 72 hours.
- Snow leaderboard
- Every U.S. resort ranked by NOAA’s new snow at mid-mountain: this season, and the past 72, 48 and 24 hours.
- Season totals
- This winter’s season total on every resort card, and past seasons’ snowfall at U.S. resorts.
- 30-day trends
- Snowfall, base depth and open lifts and trails over the past month (GoSki PRO).

Trail maps in 2D and 3D
- Every resort mapped
- All 43 resorts have a GoSki trail map, in 2D and in 3D on real terrain.
- Live Lift Status
- Backed by Real Time data: green running, amber on hold, red closed. Tap a lift for its status.
- Glades and tree areas
- Wooded areas are filled with small trees, and glades are shaded with their names.
- Tap any run or lift
- A card shows its name and length, and the line lights up in yellow on the map.
- Search and map key
- Find trails, lifts, lodges, food and parking. Key switches show learning areas, night skiing, race courses and magic carpets.
- 4K Terrain Overlay
- A sharp aerial photo draped over the 3D map at 36 resorts, from the 4K Map Pack (a one-time purchase). Download one mountain or all of them to your phone.
Ski Tracker
The Ski Tracker is part of GoSki PRO and records on iPhone. How the Ski Tracker works
- One tap to start
- A big round Start button. GoSki works out which resort you’re at from your GPS, so there’s nothing to pick.
- Runs named by trail
- At all 43 resorts, each run lists the trails it followed and is drawn on GoSki’s trail map of the resort.
- Steady vertical
- Uses your iPhone’s barometer, so vertical stays steady even under trees and near buildings.
- Lift rides aren’t runs
- Lift rides are recognized, even flat lifts and gondolas ridden down, so they never count as runs or vertical.
- Relive the day
- Your route colored by speed, elevation and speed graphs, top speed and time on snow.
- Your season
- Ski days, vertical, runs and trails skied at each resort add up on the You tab. Forgot to record? Add a past day by tapping the trails you skied.
Alerts
- Day Alerts
- Follow the resort you’re skiing today or tomorrow: lift holds, delays and closures backed by Real Time data, Resort Updates through the day and a 3 PM Après message (GoSki PRO).
- Storm Alerts
- A storm told in parts for the resorts you follow: New Storm Outlook, Snowfall Update, Watches & Warnings and a Final Update. Each storm’s first alert is free.
- Snow Alert
- A free heads-up when snow first appears in a resort’s 7-day forecast.
- Your choice of delivery
- App notifications or email. Text messages are on the way for GoSki PRO.
Plan your day
- Your ski pass
- Add your Epic, Ikon, Indy or Mountain Collective pass. GoSki marks the resorts it covers and shows blackout dates on a calendar, plus deals and opening days.
- Resort updates and ski news
- New lifts, snowmaking, new terrain, opening days, events and deals for the regions you pick, with storm updates on the Explore card.
- Ski regions
- Pick up to two regions or states on a 3D map and their resorts come first. The resort list keeps sticky tabs for each region and your favorites.
- Lift tickets and night skiing
- Lift ticket prices with a quick link to buy, and night skiing noted for every resort.
- Food & Après Ski
- Top picks on the mountain and nearby at U.S. resorts, with travel estimates.
- Backcountry
- U.S. place search that works offline, offline map areas you choose, and routes with distance, an elevation profile and an estimated hike time.
Account and privacy
- No password
- Sign in with a 6-digit code sent to your email, or with Sign in with Apple on iPhone.
- Recordings stay on your phone
- Ski day recordings are encrypted on your iPhone and are never uploaded.
- No ad tracking
- GoSki doesn’t sell your data or track you across other apps for ads.
- MPH or km/h
- Pick your speed units once and they apply across the app.
