What is GoSki?
GoSki is a free iPhone and iPad app for skiers and snowboarders. It has snow reports and forecasts for 43 ski resorts: 31 in the U.S. and 12 in Canada, a 2D and 3D trail map of every one, Live Lift Status backed by Real Time data, storm and lift alerts, and a GPS ski tracker that names every run by trail.
Is GoSki free?
Yes. GoSki is free to download and use: snow reports, the next 24 hours of forecast, 2D trail maps of every resort plus three free 3D maps, Live Lift Status, the Snow leaderboard, ski news, the Snow Alert and each storm’s first alert are all free. GoSki PRO is an optional weekly or monthly subscription.
What does GoSki PRO include?
The Ski Tracker, 3D trail maps at every resort, the full 6-day forecast, Day Alerts, every part of Storm Alerts and 30-day snow and terrain trends. Prices are shown in the app. The 4K Map Pack is a separate one-time purchase.
Which ski resorts does GoSki cover?
43 resorts: 31 in the U.S. (Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, New York, Pennsylvania, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, California and Washington) and 12 in Canada (British Columbia and Alberta). See the full list on the resorts page.
Does GoSki have 3D trail maps?
Yes, for all 43 resorts. Without GoSki PRO you get a 2D Basic map of every resort and three free 3D maps, each for 24 hours; GoSki PRO opens 3D everywhere. 36 maps can also get a 4K aerial Terrain Overlay with the 4K Map Pack.
How does the GoSki ski tracker work?
Tap Start on the Session tab and put your phone away. GoSki records your day on your iPhone, splits it into runs and lift rides, and names each run by the trails it followed. It shows vertical, runs, speed, distance and time, live and afterwards.
Does the ski tracker work without cell signal?
Yes. Recording and run naming work without cell signal, and a day can start with no bars. GoSki PRO is checked whenever you’re online.
Does GoSki count lift rides in my vertical?
No. Vertical skied counts the downhill on your runs only. GoSki recognizes lift rides, including flat lifts and gondolas ridden down, so they never count.
How does GoSki keep vertical accurate?
GoSki uses your iPhone’s barometer, which follows height changes more steadily than GPS alone, especially under trees and near buildings, and it counts only the downhill on your runs.
Can I use GoSki for snowboarding?
Yes. The tracker, maps, forecasts and alerts work the same for skiers and snowboarders.
Is my location data private?
Ski day recordings are encrypted on your iPhone and are never uploaded; there’s no cloud copy. GoSki doesn’t sell your data or track you across other apps for ads. Details are in the privacy policy.
Does GoSki show live lift status?
Yes. Live Lift Status, backed by Real Time data, shows each lift on the trail map as running (green), on hold (amber) or closed (red). With GoSki PRO, Day Alerts tell you when a lift at the resort you’re skiing goes on hold, is delayed or closes early.
Where does GoSki’s weather come from?
From trusted, high-quality sources: NOAA and its National Weather Service in the U.S., and NOAA’s National Blend of Models with Environment Canada weather alerts in Canada. Snowfall maps and the Snow leaderboard use NOAA’s snowfall analysis.
Can GoSki alert me when it’s going to snow?
Yes. The free Snow Alert tells you when snow first appears in a resort’s 7-day forecast, and Storm Alerts follow a storm in parts: New Storm Outlook (free), Snowfall Update, Watches & Warnings and a Final Update (GoSki PRO).
Can I add my Epic, Ikon, Indy or Mountain Collective pass?
Yes. Add your pass and GoSki marks the resorts it covers, shows blackout dates on a calendar for each resort and lists deals and opening days for your pass.
Does GoSki work in Canada?
Yes. GoSki covers 12 resorts in British Columbia and Alberta, with trusted forecasts from NOAA’s National Blend of Models and Environment Canada weather alerts. Snowfall maps and the Snow leaderboard cover U.S. resorts only.
Is GoSki on Android?
GoSki is on iPhone and iPad today, on iOS 15 or later. The Ski Tracker records on iPhone.
Can I record a day I forgot to track?
Yes. Add a past day, then tap the trails you skied on the resort’s map, or draw each run from top to bottom. They count toward your trails skied.
How do I sign in?
There’s no password. Sign in with a 6-digit code sent to your email, or with Sign in with Apple on iPhone.
Is GoSki affiliated with any ski resort?
No. GoSki is independent and isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by any resort.
See you at first chair.
